Canarywood River Charcuterie Board - 18" x 10"

Canarywood is native to South America and has an almost rainbow-like color to its grain, with yellow, orange, and some red banding throughout the grain. In addition, this piece has a highly unique cambium (the light-colored wood found on the outside of a tree between heartwood/sapwood and the bark), with dark streaks as well as a lot of color variation. This piece showcases a river design with the river colored in a translucent, metallic white. Please note that this is translucent, as the first two photos allow the yellow photography cloth to be seen underneath in the middle, while a third photo shows how visible a pair of our business cards are through it. It boasts rounded corners and edges and includes a handhold cut out on one side for easy handling. This piece will make an excellent conversation starter, serve as a stylish charcuterie board, or be a great display piece for any kitchen.

Due to the specific type of epoxy used, it is completely safe for food contact - however, no epoxy is safe for cutting on, and all will show knife marks easily. We recommend our cutting boards and butcher blocks for all use cases involving a knife.

• Grain Raised Finishing Process i This is where our sanding process involves raising the grain before final sanding. Normally, when wood comes into contact with water, it will absorb the water, raising the grain and causing the surface to become rough after that point. Raising the grain before hand, helps ensure that when wood comes into contact with water, it will remain smooth instead of becoming rough.
