Castle Peak is the mountain these trivets are named after, and it is located in the mid-western region of Colorado. It stands at 14,279' high, and the most common trailhead can be accessed approximately 30 minutes south of Aspen.

All Castle Peak Trivets are cut from a single solid piece of either Hard Maple or Walnut. After this, they are submerged in our cutting board oil. Most trivets you'll find in a store, or online are made from a solid block, or are cut with holes going completely through them. Both of these common trivets trap heat, and those with holes cut even worse channel heat straight down into the countertop or tabletop. Because the Castle Peak trivets are cut with channels on top, they guarantee air movement and prevent heat from being trapped. Even better, the solid base helps protect the surface the trivet is sitting on.

All trivets are 0.75" thick, so you can multiple trivets of different sizes or designs in order to support larger items like baking trays. Circular options are 7" wide, or 5" wide depending on the option you select. Square options are 6"x6", or 4"x4" depending again on the option selected. The heat dispersion channels are cut approximately half the thickness of the trivet (0.375").
